The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HAS THERE [not] been an endless span of time before man [appeared - a time] when he was not yet a thing to be thought of? 1 Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer. 2 We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire. 4 The virtuous ones will drink from a cup containing camphor 5 A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly. 6 They keep their vows and fear a day the woe of which will spread far and wide; 7 they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: 8 Saying: we feed you only for the sake of Allah; we desire not from you any recompense or thanks. 9 Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate. 10 Therefor Allah hath warded off from them the evil of that day, and hath made them find brightness and joy; 11 And reward them for their perseverence Paradise and silken robes, 12 Reclining there upon couches, they shall see neither the sun nor the moon. 13 the shading branches of trees will come down low over them, and their clusters of fruit, will hang down where they are the easiest to reach. 14 Vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal will be passed round among them 15 goblets of silver that they have precisely measured. 16 And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger, 17 from a flowing spring called Salsabil. 18 ۞ There boys of everlasting youth shall go about attending them: when you see them, you would think that they are scattered pearls. 19 Whitherto you look around, you will see an abundance of bliss and the glories of a great kingdom. 20 Upon those [blest] will be garments of green silk and brocade; and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. And their Sustainer will them to drink of a drink most pure. 21 Behold, this is a recompense for you, and your striving is thanked.' 22

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
