The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 And when the earth shall be stretched forth. 3 And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He shall presently call for death, 11 And will go into the blazing fire. 12 He lived rejoicing among his people, 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 But he will indeed! His Lord was ever watching him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds for them is a reward that will never end. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
