The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in towering columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
