We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. 28 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 Upon thee shall rest the curse, till the Day of Doom.' 35 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 until the day of a known time." 38 He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate 39 except for Your chosen servants." 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 and you have no authority over My servants except the erring ones who follow you. 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44
