The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And no trifle. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
