O you who believe, do not practice usury, charging doubled and redoubled (interest); but have fear of God: you may well attain your goal. 130 And fear the Fire prepared for the unbelievers, 131 Obey God and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another for your Lord's forgiveness and for a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for the God-fearing, 133 who spend in the way of Allah both in plenty and hardship, who restrain their anger, and forgive others. Allah loves such good-doers." 134 And who, when they have committed an indecency or have wronged their souls, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven, (for who but God can forgive sins?) and do not knowingly persist in their misdeeds, 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath,- an eternal dwelling: How excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)! 136 Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied. 137 This is a clear statement for men, and a guidance and an admonition to those who guard (against evil). 138 And be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers. 139 If a wound touches you, a like wound already has touched the heathen; such days We deal out in turn among men, and that God may know who are the believers, and that He may take witnesses from among you; and God loves not the evildoers; 140 And that Allah may test (or purify) the believers (from sins) and destroy the disbelievers. 141 Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast? 142 You certainly wished to die (for the cause of God) before you actually faced death. Then you faced death (in the battlefield and only a few of you had the true desire to die). 143
