And when Abraham said, 'My Lord, make this land secure, and turn me and my sons away from serving idols; 35 Lord, the idols have misled many people. Whoever follows me is my friend. As for those who disobey, You are certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 36 Our Lord, I have made some of my seed to dwell in a valley where is no sown land by Thy Holy House; Our Lord, let them perform the prayer, and make hearts of men yearn towards them, and provide them with fruits; haply they will be thankful. 37 O Lord, You have knowledge of what we hide and what we reveal, for nothing on the earth or in the skies is hidden from God. 38 All praise be to Allah Who, despite my old age, has given me Ishmael and Isaac. Surely my Lord hears all prayers. 39 Lord, make me and my offspring steadfast in prayer and accept our worship. 40 Our Lord! forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day whereon will be set up the reckoning. 41
