The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
