And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
