But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And what you do not see, 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger; 40 It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe! 41 nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember). 42 (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We assuredly had taken him by the right hand 45 then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) 46 and none of you could have held Us off from him. 47 But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing. 48 And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters. 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 it is the indubitable truth. 51 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
