The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of the sinners.' 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
