Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
