Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
