Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
