Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
