Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
