No, by the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
