The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 Who will be honoured 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And couches raised up. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 and made them virgins, 36 full of love, well-matched 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
