The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
