The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 and produce sparks 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
