The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
