And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
