Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
