Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 [Or do they deny the existence of God?] Have they themselves been created without anything [that might have caused their creation]? or were they, perchance, their own creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
