In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
