Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
