The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
