Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate, 1 And taken off from you your burden, 2 the burden that weighed down thy back? 3 And [have We not] raised thee high in dignity? 4 So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art relieved, still toil 7 And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
