We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
