We have explained (the truth) in various ways in this Qur'an, that they may be warned; but it only increased their refractoriness. 41 Say thou: were there along with Him other gods, as they say, then they would have brought unto the Owner of the Throne a way. 42 Glory to Him! He is high above all that they say!- Exalted and Great (beyond measure)! 43 The seven heavens, the earth, and whosoever in them, exalt Him. There is nothing that does not exalt with His praise, but you do not understand their exaltation. Surely, He is Clement, Forgiving. 44 When thou recitest the Koran, We place between thee, and those who do not believe in the world to come, a curtain obstructing, 45 and We place a covering on their hearts so that they do not comprehend it, and We cause a heaviness in their ears; and when you mention your Lord, the Only True Lord, in the Qur'an, they turn their backs in aversion. 46 We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic." 47 See what similitudes they coin for thee, and thus are all astray, and cannot find a road! 48 And they say, “When we have become bones and decomposed, will we really be raised up anew?” 49 Say: 'Let you be stones, or iron, 50 ۞ or any other substance which you think unlikely to be given life." Then they will ask, "Who is it that shall restore us to life?" Answer them, "He who created you the first time." They will then shake their heads at you and say, "When will that be?" Say, "It may well be very soon." 51 on the day when He will call you, and you will answer praising Him, and you will think you have but tarried a little.' 52
