Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
