And recite to them the news of Ibrahim. 69 when he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They said, "We worship idols and will continue to cling to them." 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 or do they cause you any benefit or harm?" 73 They said, 'Nay, but we found our fathers so doing.' 74 He said, 'And have you considered what you have been serving, 75 You and your ancient sires. 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 Who created me, and He doth guide me, 78 He who gives me food and drink; 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 who makes me to die and then revives me, 81 And Who, I ardently hope, will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment. 82 My Lord, bestow wisdom upon me; unite me with the righteous; 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight; 85 And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. 86 Do not degrade me on the Day when they are resurrected. 87 the Day when wealth and sons will be of no avail, 88 except for him who comes to God with a pure heart. 89 For, [on that Day,] paradise will be brought within sight of the God-conscious, 90 And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. 91 they will be asked, "Where are those whom you worshipped 92 “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” 93 The idol worshippers, the idols, the rebellious ones, 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 And they will say, when they are quarrelling therein: 96 they will say, "By God, we were in clear error 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of all Being. 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 Now we have no intercessors 100 no loyal friend. 101 O that we might return again, and be among the believers!' 102 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 103 Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
