Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha Mim! 1 This is the revelations from the Beneficent, Merciful God. 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 good tidings to bear, and warning, but most of them have turned away, and do not give ear. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works - unto them shall be a hire unceasing. 8
