The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
