Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
