The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
