۞ He it is Who did create you from a single soul, and therefrom did make his mate that he might take rest in her. And when he covered her she bore a light burden, and she passed (unnoticed) with it, but when it became heavy they cried unto Allah, their Lord, saying: If thou givest unto us aright we shall be of the thankful. 189 So when He bestowed them a normal child, they ascribed partners (to Him) in respect of what He had bestowed upon them; therefore Supreme is Allah, above all that they ascribe as partners. 190 Do they (the disbelievers) ascribe (false deities) that which do not create anything, but are themselves created? 191 No help can they give them, nor can they help themselves. 192 And if you call the disbelievers to guidance, they do not follow you; it is the same for you, whether you invite them or remain silent. 193 Those whom you invoke other than Allah are creatures like you. So invoke them. and see if they answer your call, if what you claim is true. 194 What, have they feet wherewith they walk, or have they hands wherewith they lay hold, or have they eyes wherewith they see, or have they ears wherewith they give ear? Say: 'Call you then to your associates; then try your guile on me, and give me no respite. 195 Indeed, my protector is Allah, who has sent down the Book; and He is an ally to the righteous. 196 While those you beseech apart from Him cannot help you or even help themselves. 197 And if you were to call them to true guidance, they will not hear; and you observe them looking at you whereas they have no power to see.' 198 Keep to forgiveness (O Muhammad), and enjoin kindness, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitan (Satan) then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower. 200 When any evil suggestion from Satan touches those who fear God, they are instantly alerted and become watchful; 201 As for their brethren [the Satans], they draw them deeper into error and do not relax in their efforts. 202 And when you bring them not a revelation they say: Why do you not forge it? Say: I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord; these are clear proofs from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. 203 Whenever the Quran is recited (to you), listen to it quietly so that you may receive mercy. 204 Remember your Lord deep in your very soul, in all humility and awe, without raising your voice, morning and evening, do not be one of the heedless, 205 Those who are with your Lord are not too proud to worship Him. They exalt Him and to Him they prostrate. ۩ 206
True are the words of God the Almighty.
