We gave Moses the Book, and appointed his brother Aaron as his supporter. 35 Then We said: Go you both to the people who rejected Our communications; so We destroyed them with utter destruction. 36 We drowned the people of Noah because of their rejection of the Messengers and made them evidence of the Truth for mankind. We have prepared a painful torment for the unjust ones. 37 And [remember how We punished the tribes of] Ad and Thamud and the people of Ar-Rass, and many generations [of sinners] in-between: 38 And We illustrated examples to each one of them; and ruining them, annihilated them all. 39 And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection. 40 (Muhammad), when they see you, they will only mock you and say, "Has God really sent him as a Messengers? 41 "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path! 42 Hast thou observed him who hath taken as his god his own desire! wilt thou be over him a trustee? 43 Do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like the cattle; nay, even worse than the cattle. 44
