And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
