We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin. 14 Then We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made it (the ship) as an Ayah (a lesson, a warning, etc.) for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 15 Abraham told his people, "Worship God and have fear of Him. It is better for you if only you knew it. 16 Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back. 17 But if you deny, then many a people have denied before you. The duty of the apostle is to convey the message clearly." 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated creation, and then Allah will bring forth (resurrect) the creation of the Hereafter (i.e. resurrection after death). Verily, Allah is Able to do all things." 20 Punish whom He will, and have mercy on whom He please. And to Him will you be brought back in the end. 21 You cannot challenge God in the heavens or in the earth. No one besides God is your guardian or helper. 22
