Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 "From which you turn away! 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
