The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Star when it plunges, 1 Your companion does not err, nor does he go astray; 2 Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. 3 It [the Quran] is nothing but revelation sent down to him. 4 He has been taught by the Extremely Powerful. 5 One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form 6 And reached the highest pinnacle. 7 then drew near and suspended hung, 8 And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer. 9 so (Allah) revealed to His worshiper (Gabriel) that which he revealed (to Prophet Muhammad). 10 The [servant's] heart did not give the lie to what he saw: 11 Are you, then, going to contend with him regarding what he sees with his eyes? 12 And he certainly saw him in another descent 13 Near the Lote-tree beyond which none may pass: 14 Near it is the Garden of Refuge - 15 (This was) when the lote-tree was covered with that which covered it. 16 [And withal,] the eye did not waver, nor yet did it stray: 17 He certainly saw the greatest (signs) of the existence of his Lord. 18 Have you considered Lat and 'Uzza, 19 And another, the third (goddess), Manat? 20 "What! For you the males and for Him the females?" 21 This is certainly an unjust apportioning. 22 They are naught but names which you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has not sent for them any authority. They follow naught but conjecture and the low desires which (their) souls incline to; and certainly the guidance has come to them from their Lord. 23 Can ever man get what he desires? 24 But to Allah belongs the last (Hereafter) and the first (the world). 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
