1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
