▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
