The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
