Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O Descendants of Israel (Jacob)! Remember My favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant towards Me, I shall fulfil My covenant towards you; and fear Me alone. 40 And believe in what I have sent down which verifies what is already with you; and do not be the first to deny it, nor part with it for little gain; and beware of Me. 41 Do not mix truth with falsehood, or hide the truth when you know it. 42 And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]. 43 ۞ How is it that you enjoin others to follow the Right Way, but forget it yourselves, though you read the Scriptures? Have you no sense at all? 44 Find strength in fortitude and prayer, which is heavy and exacting but for those who are humble and meek, 45 who are certain of their meeting with their Lord and their return to Him. 46
