Elucidated (Fussilat)

54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ha Mim! 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 A bearer of glad tidings and a warner. Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 (Muhammad), say, "I am a mere mortal like you. I have received a revelation that your Lord is the only One. So be up-right and obedient to Him and seek forgiveness from Him. Woe to the pagans, 6 who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
