The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
