(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
