The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
